Intro

Once upon a time, a girl woke up and thought she'd like to share her thoughts. At first, she felt lost, since she didn't know if all her thoughts can be shared. On her way to find her place in the internet world, she realised, she can publish whatever she loves, so here we go...

Photo: Scotland

Last weekend we went to Scotland for Easter holiday and it was magnificent. I enjoyed every minute of it, even though it was real April weather: sometimes sunshine, sometimes rain, sometimes snow.

North of Scotland

We stayed at Fort William hostel but I would rather recommend Glen Nevis camping site.

Glen Nevis

First day we took a tour to Glen Nevis Falls - I could not resist the beautiful scenery, so of course I took looots of photographs, some of which I would like to share with you.

Ben Nevis

Second day we took the track to Ben Nevis summit - it was the main reason why we decided to spend our holiday in Fort William this year. We woke up early morning because the whole track takes approximately 9 hours and we didn't want to be getting back at night. The track was steep and rocky and 1000 metres above sea level it was getting quiet cold, windy, misty and I felt really challenged to reach the summit. Fortunately, the snow didn't defeated us and we conquered the summit in 4 hours (and it took us app. 2 hours to get back down to the camping site = 80 metres above sea level).

Glenfinnan and Loch Ness

The following day we preferred more leisure walking, so we decided to check out the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct, which was used as filming location for Harry Potter movies. Since the location wasn't so hard to find and walk wasn't so difficult, we still had plenty of time to take trip to see Loch Ness (MOnster:). We were lucky enough to actually catch a glance of Nessie and of course we took some photos of her; unfortunately, she prefers to be anonymous, so I respect her decision and I won't post any pictures of her. Thank you for understanding ;)

Jedburgh Abbey

On our way back home we had a chance to take a last sight of the Glencoe Mountains and after that we went to visit one more attraction, which was worth to see: Jedburgh Abbey.

I hope  you enjoyed my photographs and little commentary with them. My last words for this post: VISIT SCOTLAND!

All photographs are my own and are subjected to copyright matter.

  4. Thank you very much - I was trying to give them old-photograph-colours style. The weather in Scotland was little bit dull, so i had a need to refresh those misty colours :)
